Mass Ensemble Captain Answers Your Questions!

You might remember Ellen Tuffley from your time in the Grease of Wizard Of Oz Mass Ensemble! She was gracious enough to answer a few of our hard hitting questions for your reading pleasure!

1. When you were growing up, what did you think you wanted to do with your life?

I can’t remember a time where I wanted to be anything specifically. I was very much in-the-moment kid. I do remember loving animals and singing.

2. If you could tell your teenage self one thing, what would it be?

You’re doing good kid.

3. Who inspires you?

People who live unapologetically and are just following their truth.

4. When you have a day off, what’s your favourite thing to do?

I love to get active so whether that’s a hike, a little yoga, a smart trip down to the pool, a cheeky run or a bike ride. I feel the best after I have been outside moving. After that I often feel quite motivated to be more productive throughout the day. If it’s a restful day, get me to the people I love and turn up the swing music.

5. What music are you listening to at the moment?

Carol King ’s Tapestry Album. Golly she is brilliant. And Jazz…always jazz.

6. With all that you’ve done in your life, any goals you’re still to achieve?

I feel like I’m yet to start kicking my goals!! Lots in the pipe line but I feel as though I’m in the right space to make them happen so that’s exciting!

7. Favourite movie you’ve seen in the last year?

I don’t really watch to many movies but a few of my favourites are About Time, Hidden Figures, Spotlight. Anything Historical Fiction.

8. Have you ever been starstruck meeting someone famous?

Not starstruck, just curious. When I meet someone who is in the public eye all I really want to do is ask them questions. I like to stay curious.

9. Read any good books lately?

I’ve been reading Twelve Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson, Called to Create by Jordan Raynor and  Mere Christianity by C.S Lewis but my favourite fiction novel is The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons….another Historical Fiction!

10. Best advice you ever received?

Serve the work! Get out of the way and just serve the work.
