Twelve year old ventriloquist gets the gold!

Grab the tissue, because this video is so inspiring it's gonna make you cry!

Twelve year old Darci Lynne Farmer asked her parents to buy her a puppet to overcome her shyness.

“Ventriloquism kind of helped me find my voice. It’s really helped me come out of my shell. My shyness is getting better,” Darci said.

Then she took her puppet to audition for America's Got Talent and her love for puppetry so impressed the judges that Mel B immediately pressed the Golden Buzzer, a rare feat as judges usually only press the buzzer once per season.

Darci Lynne said it was one of her “big dreams” to go on the show and she hoped to “keep ventriloquism alive because it’s not common” in today’s modern age.

Watch the inspiring video below, and remember, good things happen when you go in the direction of your dreams!
